About Us
Located in the heart of Mumbai and established in 1991, the K. J. Somaiya Medical College and Research Centre and K. J. Somaiya Hospital is one of the most notable projects in the illustrious career in business and philanthropy of Padmabhushan (late) Shri Karamshibhai Jethbhai Somaiya. Born out of his austere, yet oft-quoted philosophy of wanting “to alleviate the sufferings of all beings afflicted by pain”, K. J. Somaiya General Hospital caters to the needs of the vulnerable and socio-economically disadvantaged..
It is true to his testimony that the K. J. Somaiya’s Ayurvihar Complex in Sion, Mumbai now has a colossal presence, not only in the field of medical education but also in cutting edge medical research and patient care. With its 550-bedded General Hospital and 56 bedded Super- Speciality wing, the K. J. Somaiya Hospital complex boasts of the finest medical infrastructure that matches the best in its class. Our medical college has been providing quality education in the field of medicine over the last three decades.
In today’s era of digitalisation, we must strive to create and nurture Health Profession Educators with an eye to the future to meet the challenges of the contemporary global health scenario.
We are organising a conference to showcase digitalisation in the sphere of Medical Education without compromising the values and skills that are essential to this noble profession. The conference is an academic feast offering a unique amalgamation of Values, Skills and Technology. In keeping with our theme, enlightening sessions on Artificial Intelligence, Sabermetrics and Medical Gamification will be included.
Under the aegis of the Academy of Health Profession Educators (AHPE) and in conjunction with our knowledge partner Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research (FAIMER), we cordially extend an invitation to NCHPE 2023 at the K. J. Somaiya Medical College and Research Centre and K. J. Somaiya Hospital, Mumbai.
